Thursday: Mojo Corsa (formerly "Cancun")

THURSDAY NIGHT "MoJo CORSA"!!!!!! (formally Cancun)

We'll kick off this year's Daylight Savings Time with a weekly Thursday night- MoJo CORSA - on March 17th

leaving from Broncos on Blackstock Rd. At 6pm SHARP.

THIS RIDE is meant to be a mid week challenge ride.

For the first 2-3 weeks, the ride will be around 31 miles in length.

Short course: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/13932778

It has 3 flat spots that will soon be used as sprint zones and has just enough rollers to make it difficult going out and especially coming back in. We will lengthen the course as daytime permits.

As it has been for the past few years, there will be 3 ride levels offered with 3 ride leaders for each level.

We'll have an A group, a B, group and a C group and a ride leader for each group that will be in charge of their route to and from the Broncos on Blackstock Rd.

A group average speed=20-22, no regroups unless the group deems so.
B group average speed= 17-19, regroups at stops and turns.
C group average speed= 15-16, regroups at stops and turns.

Know what group you are capable of staying with.
DO BRING FLASHERS AS IT WILL BE GETTING DARK AS WE COME IN.

*Be self -sufficient--cell ph, tubes, air etc.
*By coming to this ride, YOU realize that you are responsible for you.
*Riding as a group and contributing to a safe ride for all is very important.

If the A group is ready to go, they may even go a few minutes earlier! B and C groups will follow.

MoJo RIDE LEADERS WILL BE:
A group-Steve Verdell and Paul Thomas
B group- Ralph Paquin and Dietmar Griem
C group- Cheryl Moore

As usual, after the ride we'll stay for some good Mexican food, BS and beverage(s) so please feel free to join us!

Wednesday: Tour de Pacolet

The ride formerly known as "Buddy's ride" will henceforth be rechristened as. . .

Tour de Pacolet (pronounced "pak-O-lay")

Meet and be ready to ROLL @ 6 pm

For now, we will leave from BikeWorx (http://www.bikeworx.net/); new starting point expected in the coming weeks. . .

Parking is ample ACROSS from the shop, BTW

Traditional Route:

The route will expand and may change slightly as the daylight extends. . ..watch for changes/updates on subsequent postings. . .

B-/ B Ride

Expect a steady moderate pace with experienced riders and some new riders.
Regroups likely, especially for mechanicals and after challenging sections (such as open zones).
Strong riders should expect to adjust to group ability.
ALL riders should know the route and have adequate equipment (including a cell phone).
Beginning riders welcomed, but riders unable to keep up with a moderate pace should be able to complete ride alone (know route, cell phone, repair equipment).

Open Zones:

White Stone

Hwy 9

PLEASE COMMIT TO MAINTAINING A COMPACT PACK EXCEPT DURING OPEN ZONES AND ESPECIALLY AFTER WE CROSS HWY 150 AT THE END OF THE HWY 9 ZONE ON THE RETURN TRIP TO THE SHOP. THE TURNS AND RR TRACKS REQUIRE THAT PEOPLE ON THE FRONT AVOID ACCELERATING AND THUS GAPPING WEAKER/NEWER RIDERS SITTING AT THE BACK. A COHESIVE PACK IS SAFER FOR ALL AT DUSK.

IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO A GROUP RIDE THIS IS NOT A RIDE FOR YOU. IF YOU ENJOY DISRUPTING GROUP RIDES THIS IS NOT THE RIDE FOR YOU.

Food and beverages afterward: TBD
